M.S. or Ph.D. Student Position in Horticulture, University of Wisconsin-Madison

The successful candidate will work independently to study

1: effects of different reduced irrigation rates on potato yield, quality and storability using variable rate irrigation;

2: use the field data to calibrate and validate a model (Root Zone Water Quality Model) to simulate potato yield under different irrigation strategies (this is not required for a M.S. project).

Experience in crop science, agronomy, and soil science is preferred. Candidates should have excellent communication skills in English.
