The Potato Association of America (PAA) was formed in 1913 by a handful of dedicated individuals from Maine, New York, Colorado and Washington D.C. Today PAA serves as the official professional society for members all over the world involved in potato research, extension, production, biology and utilization.
The PAA provides opportunities to contribute in one or more in one or more of six sections:
- Breeding & Genetics
- Certification
- Extension, Production & Management
- Plant Protection
- Physiology
- Utilization & Marketing
Our Mission
The Potato Association of America shall collect and disseminate scientific information relating to all phases of the potato industry, including, but not limited to, teaching, research, outreach, breeding, certification, production, pests, transportation, processing, and marketing and utilization.
